Common Aptitude Mistakes
Frequent mistakes candidates make in aptitude tests and how to avoid them.
Rushing The Question
Many wrong answers come from solving what the candidate expected, not what the question asked. Read the final sentence twice when numbers or negatives are involved.
Ignoring Units
Check whether the answer should be in shillings, percentages, days, hours, people, or units. Unit mistakes are easy to avoid.
Overusing Guessing
Guessing is sometimes necessary, but repeated blind guessing hides weak topics. Review guessed questions after practice.
Skipping Review
The biggest improvement comes from reviewing errors. Practice without review repeats the same habits.
